Important Notice on Artisanal Products & Food Provisions
Please read this Disclaimer carefully prior to engaging with finedine.shop or ordering any tableware, crystal glassware, cutlery, or gourmet foodstuffs. This document sets out important health, usage, artisanal variation, and statutory liability boundaries under Austrian and European Union consumer legislation.
1. General Information & Website Purpose
The website finedine.shop is operated and maintained by FineDine Shop Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H., having its registered seat and atelier at Graben 28, 1010 Wien, Austria (registered in the Austrian Commercial Register at Handelsgericht Wien under FN 592841 s, Austrian UID: ATU78942156, Austrian Tax File Number / Steuernummer: 12 345/6789).
The content presented on this website is for informational, aesthetic presentation, and commercial boutique retail purposes. While we endeavor to ensure the utmost accuracy regarding product provenance, materials, dimensions, and availability, minor technical inaccuracies or typographic errors may occur.
2. Artisanal Craftsmanship & Natural Variance
The majority of items curated and retailed by FineDine are handmade, mouth-blown, or forged by master guild craftsmen in Austria and neighboring European artisan traditions. Consequently:
- Porcelain & Stoneware: Subtle nuances in glaze coloration, micro-pinholes, tactile texture, and genuine 24-karat gold leaf brush lines are distinctive marks of authentic hand-thrown pottery and do not constitute manufacturing defects.
- Mouth-Blown Crystal: Minor inclusions or micro air bubbles smaller than 1mm, subtle weight differences, and hand-cut facet refractions are inherent to traditional free-hand Austrian glassblowing and verify that each piece was crafted by an artisan, not a high-volume industrial press.
- Damascus Steel Cutlery: The pattern-welded swirls of 67-layer Damascus steel and natural grain patterns in stabilized Macassar ebony or Austrian walnut handles are unique to each individual blade. No two knives are visually identical.
- Natural Slate & Marble: Veining, crystalline deposits, and stone fracture lines on Carrara marble chillers and alpine slate platters are natural geological formations.
3. Food Safety, Gourmet Cellar & Allergen Disclosures
Our gourmet tasting hampers, preserved black winter truffles, balsamic reserves, and culinary delicacies are sourced in compliance with strict Austrian and EU Food Safety Regulations (Lebensmittelsicherheits- und Verbraucherschutzgesetz - LMSVG):
- Allergen Information: While individual items clearly state ingredient profiles on packaging, some hampers may contain or be prepared in facilities handling tree nuts, gluten, mustard, or celery. Discerning customers with severe allergies should contact our Vienna concierge prior to purchase.
- Perishable & Sealed Goods: Truffles, cold-pressed oils, and artisanal condiments must be stored in accordance with the temperature and lighting specifications stated on the label. Once unsealed, perishable items must be refrigerated and consumed within the recommended period.
- Sensory Perception: Taste profiles, aroma intensities, and vintage variations of natural gourmet provisions are subjective and subject to harvest seasonality.
4. Tableware Care & Safe Use Instructions
To preserve the museum-grade aesthetic and physical durability of FineDine luxury collections:
- Gold-Rimmed Dinnerware: High-fired porcelain embellished with authentic 24K gold is strictly NOT microwave safe. Electrical arc discharge will occur if placed in a microwave oven. Hand-washing with non-abrasive soft cloths is strongly advised.
- Thermal Shock in Crystal: Austrian lead-free crystal must not be subjected to sudden thermal shocks (e.g., pouring boiling liquids into a cold glass or placing warm crystal into freezing water). Thermal shock fractures resulting from improper thermal handling are not covered under product warranties.
- Damascus Knives: High-carbon Damascus blades are precision culinary instruments. Do not use for chopping frozen bone or prying hard objects, and never place them in an automated dishwasher.
5. Pricing, Austrian VAT & Currency Disclosures
All consumer prices displayed on finedine.shop for deliveries within Austria and the European Union are stated inclusive of the statutory 20% Austrian Value Added Tax (Mehrwertsteuer - MwSt.). For business transactions with a verified EU VAT Identification Number (UID) outside Austria, reverse-charge VAT mechanisms apply in accordance with Art. 196 EU VAT Directive.
When utilizing our live currency converter (EUR, USD, GBP), converted figures are calculated based on indicative European Central Bank foreign exchange rates. Final settlements are cleared securely in the selected currency or processed in Euros (EUR) at the prevailing cardholder bank exchange rate.
6. Limitation of Liability under Austrian Law
To the maximum extent permitted under Austrian law (Allgemeines BĂĽrgerliches Gesetzbuch - ABGB and Produkthaftungsgesetz - PHG), FineDine Shop Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. shall not be liable for damages resulting from improper care, misuse of tableware or cutlery, failure to follow allergen warnings, or incidental transit delays caused by customs authorities or force majeure events.
Mandatory statutory liability for intentional misconduct (Vorsatz) and gross negligence (grobe Fahrlässigkeit), as well as mandatory claims under the Austrian Product Liability Act (PHG) for bodily injury, remain strictly unaffected.
